Isai Of Los Angeles as an artist

In our second installment, ñ sits down with Isai of Los Angeles (yes, that’s his name). Isai is a Los Angeles artist from the South Central region. He actively combines elements from various mediums including painting, sculpture, and photography.

Isai introduced us to his recent series of paintings that focuses on the family-owned business culture of South Central, and his experience seeing it from various perspectives growing up. His family owns a dry cleaning business on the corner of Broadway and Manchester, and another nearby on Vermont Ave - which Isai has helped maintain and run. Isai further reflects on the responsibilities of small business and how they influence family values in the household. He hopes to show people that the communities of South Central is one based on family values, and are often overlooked by surrounding communities and passerby.
